For nearly four decades, founders Andrea Mulla and Julie Head shaped this company through relationships, care, and an unwavering belief in the power of walking to change how we experience the world. What began as a shared love of hiking and exploration grew into a trusted travel company rooted in quiet excellence and long-standing partnerships.

Andrea and Julie did not build this company quickly or carelessly. They built it by returning to the same trails, working with the same local partners year after year, and paying close attention to the details that make a journey feel grounded and human. That approach has always been the foundation.

This transition is not a departure.

Andrea and Julie remain actively involved, mentoring the team, supporting operations, and staying closely connected to the work they love. Their relationships, institutional knowledge, and planning philosophy continue to guide each season.

Passing the torch was an intentional decision. It reflects a desire to protect what they built and ensure the company continues with integrity, clarity, and care for decades to come.
